STAM Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

1.1. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our members’ personal information/data; in the policy we explain how we will treat your personal information.

1.2. We will ask you to consent to our use of your personal information in accordance with the GDPR rules coming into force on 25th May 2018

2. Personal information that we hold

2.1. When you become a member of STAM we collect information that includes name, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, nationality, gender, ethnicity and medical conditions that you have declared

2.2. Your data is stored in a number of places:  The clubs main database is ActiveHy-Tek Team Manager, which we share with CoStA. It is cloud based software and apart from being used to record the information that we hold for members it also enables us to easily enter members into gala’s.  The STAM membership secretary keeps a computer based master list of all members;  We also maintain a google drive list of members emails addresses which is accessible only to elected members of the STAM committee .

3. What do we use your data for

3.1. Processing of membership forms and payments;

3.2. Share information with committee members to provide information about club activities; membership renewals and invitation to social events;

3.3. Sending you information on galas, club news and events;

3.4. Sending you information about selling club kit, merchandise or fundraising.

3.5. We will not share your information with any other organisation or commercial business other than those specified above.

4. Who do we release your data to

4.1. All of our members have to be ASA registered and data is passed to Swim England to comply with this requirement;

4.2. Share relevant data only with club coaches or officials to administer training sessions;

4.3. Share relevant data only with club team managers and coaches to administer swimming galas;

4.4. Share relevant data only with other Swim England affiliated clubs to enter open meets;

4.5. Share relevant data only with leagues, county associations and other competition providers for entry in events;

WHEN Tuesday evenings
CLASSES 7.30pm – 8.15pm
Beginners: Main instructor and assistant in the water to help support and improve confidence whilst learning basic stroke techniques.
Improvers: Once main strokes are established this class promotes deep water confidence. 30 minutes of widths followed by 15 minutes of lengths.
CLASSES 8.15pm – 9.00pm
Advanced: Advanced stroke technique for the four strokes and stamina training.

Box End Park 10K

The ‘Mass Start 3’ part of the Galeforce Events mass swim series allowed swimmers the opportunity to take on any of the following distances; 750m/1.5k/3.8k/5k/10k*.

On Saturday 26th August both Craig and Sarah took on the 10K challenge.

Craig had an excellent swim coming first overall with a time of 02:24:37, with Sarah completing her 10K in 02:57:35.

ASA National Masters and Senior Age Group Championships

Eight swimmers from STAM competed successfully in the ASA National Masters and Senior Age Group Championships held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield on 23-25th October. Silver medals went to Susannah Davis, Laura Coombes, Craig Kirkland and Steve Ong in the Mixed 4x100m freestyle relay (age group 160+). Bronze medal winners in the men’s 4x50m medley relay were Duncan Beveridge, Mark Beveridge, Neil Culley and Craig Kirkland (age group 200+). Duncan also won Bronze in the individual 50m Breaststroke. Other members of the team entered individual, and further team events – just missing out by a couple of places on more medals.
